About

Daytoolz is a set of free tools for the sums people actually have to do: an EMI before walking into a bank, a PPF maturity before filling a form, a BMI at a check-up, a PDF to merge before an application closes.

How it works

Every tool runs inside your browser. When you type a loan amount, the arithmetic happens on your own phone or computer; nothing is sent to a server, and there is nothing for us to store. When you merge a PDF or shrink a photo, the file is opened by the page itself and never leaves the device.

Five tools do need the internet, because the answer lives somewhere else: a currency rate, a bank's IFSC code, a PIN code, an RTO and a GST number. Those send only what you type in the box, and nothing else.

Where the numbers come from

Each tool shows the formula it uses, in words and as a formula, so you can check the working rather than trust a black box. Figures that change, such as scheme interest rates and tax slabs, are not written into the code: they live in data files with the source and the date they were taken from, and every page that uses one shows both.

A worked example on each page is produced by the same calculation the tool runs, so the words and the calculator can never drift apart.

When a result looks wrong

Tell us. A wrong number is the worst thing this site could do, so a report is treated as urgent: every one is answered, and a confirmed error is fixed and noted in that tool's changelog. Write to us through the contact page.
