What is Text?
Cleaning text removes the whitespace and line breaks that survive a copy and paste, without changing the words themselves.
How is Text calculated?
Each option is applied in turn: punctuation spacing first, then runs of spaces collapsed to one, then each line trimmed, then blank lines dropped, and finally line breaks removed if asked for. The order matters, which is why it is fixed.

Questions people ask
Why does pasted text have so many stray line breaks?
Because a PDF or an email client often breaks each visual line with a real line break, which survives the paste even though the text reflows. Turning on the option to join everything into one paragraph fixes that. Leave it off when the line breaks are meaningful, as in an address.
What does fixing punctuation spacing do?
It removes the space before a comma or a full stop and makes sure there is one after it, which is the convention in English. It is the single most common fault in text typed on a phone. Turn it off if you are working in a language with different rules.
Will it change my words or spelling?
No. Only whitespace and the spacing around punctuation are touched, and the words themselves are left exactly as they are. Nothing is corrected, reworded or reordered.
Is my text uploaded anywhere?
No, everything happens in this page and nothing is sent or stored. The tool will not put your text into a shareable link either.
