Press Merge PDFs when you are ready. Everything happens on this device.

Your file is opened inside this page. It is never uploaded.

    In short: Merge PDF

Merge PDF joins PDFs in the page itself, so a contract, a bank statement or a scanned form never leaves your device. Most sites that offer this upload your files to a server first and promise to delete them later. Daytoolz has nowhere to upload them to, which is a stronger promise than a policy.

    What is Merge PDF?

Merging PDFs means writing the pages of several files into one new document, in an order you choose.

    How is Merge PDF calculated?

    pagesout=pagesA+pagesB+...

The merged document holds the pages of each file one after another, in the order given. Nothing is re-encoded, so the text stays selectable and the images keep their quality.

    • pages_outthe pages of the merged document
    • pages_Athe pages of the first file, in their original order

How to use this merge PDF

    1. Choose the PDF files, or drag them onto the box.
    2. Check the order. Files are joined in the order shown.
    3. Start the merge and wait for it to finish, which takes a moment on a phone.
    4. Save the merged file. It is written in the page, not fetched from a server.

    Questions people ask

    Are my files uploaded anywhere?

No. The page reads the files into memory, assembles the new document there, and hands it back as a download. You can confirm it with your browser's network panel: no request carries file bytes, and the page keeps working with the network turned off.

Is there a limit on size or number?

The limit is your device's memory, because everything is held there. A handful of ordinary documents is no trouble; a few hundred megabytes on an old phone may be. Nothing is sent anywhere, so the only constraint is the device itself.

    Does merging change the quality?

No. The pages are copied as they are rather than re-rendered, so text stays text and pictures keep their original encoding. A merged file is roughly the size of its parts added together.

    Can I merge a password-protected PDF?

Only once the password is removed. A protected file has to be opened before its pages can be copied, so remove the password in a reader you trust and choose the file again. The page names the file that was protected, so you know which one to fix.
