Split PDF
Pull selected pages out of a PDF, or break it into single pages, without the file leaving your device.
Split PDF
In short: Split PDF
Split PDF takes pages out of a PDF inside this page, so a salary slip, a medical report or an agreement never goes to a server. You give a range such as the first three pages, or ask for every page as its own file, and Daytoolz writes the result on your device.
What is Split PDF?
Splitting a PDF means writing out a new document that holds only the pages you asked for, leaving the original untouched.
How is Split PDF calculated?
The new document holds only the pages named in the range, in the order given, with everything each page needs carried across. The original file is never modified.
- pages_outthe pages written to the new file
- rangethe pages you asked for, such as the first three and the eighth
How to use this split PDF
- Choose the PDF, or drag it onto the box.
- Say which pages you want, as a range or a list.
- Or choose to break every page into its own file.
- Save what comes back. It was written here, not downloaded from anywhere.
Questions people ask
How do I write a page range?
Use hyphens for a run and commas between runs, so the first three pages and the eighth are written as a range then a single number. Page numbers follow the document, starting at one. An out-of-range page is ignored rather than causing an error.
Does the original file change?
No. The file you choose is only read; a new document is written alongside it. Nothing is overwritten and nothing is deleted.
Can I split a password-protected PDF?
Not unless you can open it, because the pages have to be readable before they can be copied. Remove the password in a reader you trust first. A file you cannot open yourself cannot be split here either.
Can I get every page as a separate file?
Yes. Choose every page into its own file, and the page writes one PDF per page and packs them into a single ZIP file, so you save them all in one go. A document with only one page comes back as a plain PDF.
