Privacy Policy
Version 2026-10-17.1 · Effective 17 October 2026 · Website: www.daytoolz.com
Daytoolz is a free website of everyday calculators, converters and PDF, image, text and developer tools. It is built to work without knowing who you are. This policy covers the website only; the Daytoolz mobile app has its own policy.
The short version
- There is no account, no sign-in and no advertising.
- What you type into a tool, and every file or photo you open in one, stays in your browser. It is never uploaded.
- We count visits with Google Analytics. It sees which pages are opened, never what you type or the files you use.
- We do not sell personal data.
What stays in your browser
- What you enter in tools. Numbers, text and dates are worked out inside the page and are never sent anywhere.
- Files and photos. PDFs and images you choose are read inside the page, and the result is built there and saved straight to your device. Nothing is uploaded, and nothing is kept once you close the page.
- Camera. The QR scanner and Scan to PDF use the camera only while you scan, and only with your permission. Frames are read and discarded; none is saved or sent.
- Shared links. A link to a calculator can carry its inputs in the address. It goes only to the people you send it to.
What reaches a server
- Page requests. Like every website, our server receives the address of each page and file your browser asks for, with your network address and browser type. It keeps these technical logs for about two weeks to run and protect the site, then deletes them.
- Lookup tools (IFSC code, PIN code, vehicle RTO, GSTIN and currency rates). When you press the lookup button, the code you typed is sent to our server to fetch the answer. Nothing else is sent with it, and it is not stored against you.
- Visit counts, with Google Analytics, described next.
Google Analytics
We use Google Analytics 4 to count visits and see which tools are used, so we know what to improve.
- What is collected: the address of each page you open, without anything after the "?" (so the numbers in a shared calculator link are never sent), the page you came from (also without that part), the time, and your browser, device type, screen size and language. Google uses your network address to estimate your country and city, and says it does not store that address in Analytics.
- Cookies: Google Analytics stores two cookies in your browser,
_gaand_ga_3XJGCWMMKY, holding a random identifier so that visits from the same browser are counted once. They last up to two years unless you delete them. The website sets no other cookies. - Not collected: anything you type into a tool, any file or photo, your name, email or phone number. Google signals and ad personalisation are switched off, and the data is not used for advertising.
- Who receives it: Google (Google Ireland Limited for visitors in the EU, EEA and UK; Google LLC elsewhere), which processes it for us. The data may be processed in the United States and other countries, which is a transfer outside India, the EU and the UK; Google LLC is certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework and its UK and Swiss extensions.
- How long: at most 14 months in Google Analytics, after which it is deleted automatically.
- Lawful basis (EU and UK): our legitimate interest in knowing how the site is used, so we can keep and improve the tools people rely on, using as little data as we can.
- To stop it: block or delete cookies for www.daytoolz.com in your browser, or install Google's Analytics opt-out add-on. Every tool works the same either way.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you can ask to access personal data we hold about you (a copy of it), to correct it or to delete it, object to its use (including the analytics above), and complain to a regulator. We hold almost nothing that identifies you: tools run in your browser, and analytics uses a random identifier rather than your name. So we may not be able to find data that is yours, but we will always answer. Write to support@corehrx.com; we reply within one month.
You can also complain to the data protection authority where you live or work: in the EU, your national supervisory authority; in the UK, the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk); in India, the Data Protection Board of India.
We make no automated decisions about you and build no profile of you. Analytics reports totals, such as how many visits a tool had.
Security
The best protection is not collecting data, which is how the website is built. Every connection to it uses HTTPS, and the site's security policy lets a page talk only to this site, Google Analytics and our lookup server, so a tool cannot send your input or your file anywhere else. Access to our server and its logs is limited to the people who run it.
Children
Daytoolz is a general-purpose website and is not directed at children under 13. It does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version is published on this page with a new version and date.
- 2026-10-17.1: first version for the website.
