In short: Currency Converter
Converting 100 from USD to INR at a rate of 88.2500 gives 8,825.00. That example rate was recorded on 2026-10-14: a live rate moves through the day, so the date beside the figure matters as much as the figure. The arithmetic itself runs on your device.
What is Currency?
A currency conversion multiplies an amount by the exchange rate between two currencies at a particular moment.
How is Currency calculated?
Multiply the amount by the rate between the two currencies. The rate is the only thing fetched; the multiplication happens in your browser, which is why the tool keeps working on the last rate it has.
- convertedthe amount in the currency you want
- Athe amount you are converting
- rthe rate for one unit of the first currency

How to use this currency converter
- Enter the amount you want to convert.
- Choose the currency you are converting from and the one you want.
- Read the converted amount, and check the date of the rate.
- Remember that a bank or a card will not give you exactly this rate.
Questions people ask
Will my bank give me this rate?
No. The rate shown here is a market reference; a bank, a card or a money changer adds a margin and often a fee on top. Expect to receive a little less than this figure when converting, and to pay a little more. Ask for the all-in rate before agreeing to a transfer.
How fresh is the rate?
The date of the rate is shown beside the answer, and the tool uses the latest one the service has. Rates move all day in the market, so a figure from this morning is not the figure now. For a large transfer, confirm the rate at the moment of the transaction.
Does this work offline?
The conversion does, on whatever rate the page already has, because the arithmetic runs in your browser. Fetching a new rate needs the internet. This is one of only five tools on the site that asks the network for anything.
Which currencies are covered?
The list above holds the currencies most often used from India, including the Gulf, Southeast Asia, Europe and North America. The codes follow the ISO 4217 standard. If one you need is missing, tell us and it can be added.
