In short: QR Code Scanner
QR Code Scanner reads a code and shows you the text inside it, which matters because a code gives no clue where it leads. Daytoolz uses the browser's own reader, asks for the camera only on this page and on Scan to PDF, and throws each frame away as soon as it has been read.
What is QR Code?
A QR code is a printed pattern that holds text, which is usually a web address but can be payment details, Wi-Fi credentials or anything else.
How is QR Code calculated?
A QR code is a grid of black and white squares with error correction built in, so it still reads when part of it is damaged or hidden. The reader finds the three corner squares, works out the grid, and reads the bits back as text.

How to use this QR code scanner
- Choose whether to use the camera or a picture already on the device.
- Point the camera at the code, or pick the picture.
- Read what the code actually says, before you open anything.
- Copy the text if you need it elsewhere.
Questions people ask
Why should I read a code before opening it?
Because the pattern itself tells you nothing about where it leads, and a sticker placed over a real code is a common trick in car parks and on payment counters. Seeing the address first lets you judge it. This tool shows the text and never follows it for you.
Does this work in every browser?
It uses the barcode reader built into the browser, which Chrome and Edge provide on Android and on desktop. Where it is missing the page says so rather than pretending to scan. Opening the page in a browser that has one will work.
Is the camera recording anything?
No. Frames are read as they arrive and discarded; none is stored and none is sent. The camera permission applies to this page alone, and the server rules grant it only to this page and the scanner.
Can it read a code from a screenshot?
Yes. Choose the image option and pick the screenshot, which is often easier than pointing a camera at another screen. A code that fills more of the picture reads more reliably.
